Yasya is from Russia and was a semi finalist on season 3 of Voice Kids Russia.
She has a tragic story as she was involved in a very serious automobile accident and had be taught to walk again. Yasya's first performance on the Voice Kids Russia has over 2 million views on YouTube in a week.

How sweet is that? I finally got on the vk.com. Gosh, there are a million of those Russians with the same name. Like looking for John Smith here in the USA. LOL! BTW-- she now has 3,595,054 views on her Blind Audition----Sooo-- I guess we are not the only ones that like her. I did watch that video several times, but not that many.

Thanks for that information we well, Bruce! Very interesting and also sad that she had to go through all that. I don't know why her dad left when she needed him the most, that makes it even more sad.

Definitely a special little girl and I hope being on the show leads to some really great openings and opportunities for her. I still think at 7 she is too young to handle the pressure of winning though. But it will be very interesting to see how things play out.

I can't explain this. Yasya now has 6,085,939 views on her Blind Audition. That is nothing to sneeze at. After the initial shock of a 7 year old kid singing on a show like that, you would think it would have dropped off. Not all know her story. I think there is more to it. Why so many views? No one on the show has near the same amount of views. What can they do with her in the Battle Rounds? Or does it matter? A favorite for sure! Sympathy? Age? Sex? Personality? Talent? What is it?
I am totally rooting for her! Not so much to win, but for one of the things mentioned.

I've been thinking about this as well and I've come up with a couple of possibilities.
Firstly, she is very cute she sings well and with feeling.
Secondly, the song. It is one of Viktor Tsoi's. I have read a bit about him and found that he was a rock singer with a huge following. His songs were radical at the time and directed mainly against the ideals of the USSR. Tsoi was killed in a car accident in 1990 before the USSR was dissolved in 1991. He was 28 and is still regarded as a hero in Russia. Maybe people see some sort of similarity with the fact that Yasya was almost killed in an mva. The song was also in the soundtrack of the film "Battle for Sevastopol" which apparently was a hit in Russia last year. In the film it was sung by Polina Gargarina and has almost 20 million views on yt. I expect that Yasya's video might surpass that figure, especially if she wins the voice. I read recently, in someone's blog, they suggested she may even get more views than Laura from Germany's kids voice in 2013 who currently has almost 85 million.

I love the way they are making new "Cameo"videos in what looks like a Battle Ring. Here is an example.

Charlie, after the battle rounds the five winners dress up in the clothes they wore to the BAs and sing their BA song again. Then the mentor choses the two to go through to the final. That was Yasya's performance after she won the battle round. (same clothes, different hair, didn't miss the first words of the song)
