Eva is from Moldova and finished 5th in the New Wave Jr. singing contest in 2015. She was a Finalist in Kids' Voice Russia and Next Star Romania in 2016. In 2017, she finished 4th on Romania's Got Talent. She was also a Semi-finalist on The Voice Romania in 2018.

I am looking forward to seeing Eva on The Voice Kids. With all the confusion on Eva's standing on Best Voice Moldavia I still don't know if she won. What I gather is that she came in 2nd. Help!

Charlie, on the results chart, it says Eva finished in Locul 1 with 43 points. Locul means Place. So Eva finished in Place 1. The girl named Olga finished in Mare with 55 points (which I think means a perfect score). Mare means Great. It's hard for me to believe this Olga, who was behind Eva and the second place finisher in the early rounds, came out of nowhere, knocked it out of the park with a perfect performance and beat Eva by 12 points.

If you look at the 7-9 category, a girl named Anastasia finished in Place 1 with 34 points. Another girl named Polina finished in Great with 55 points, again a perfect score I assume since in those talent shows I've seen the perfect score is 11 and 55 would mean 5 judges voting 11 each. It's also hard to believe some 9 year old came out, completely knocked it out of the park and trounced the nearest competitor by over 20 points.

So the bottom line is: Eva got Place 1, but the other girl got Great!

Something VERY strange about the whole thing. Like Bruce said, it may be because I don't understand the language, but I am also beginning to think I don't understand the entire contest!  

Thanks for clearing that up Garth! Sooo Great is a perfect score, but that's not good enough to win. Eva was #1 in my book and I am happy with that! I would never understand the rules anyway. Now, talk about confusion, how about JESC? The participants score each other.

So I messaged The Best Voice and that is the response. I don't know what "Grand Prix of Contest" is, maybe another category. I just really want to see the videos now. I agree, Charlie, Eva certainly is number 1.

Awesome Job, Bruce!!! I never would have thought of messaging the show, and wouldn't have known how anyways.

That explains why Eva's FB post said "celebrating victory" and why her fan page announced she had won. I have no idea either what the Grand Prix is about.  :?:

I would love to see the videos as well but I have a somewhat fuzzy recollection that I saw somewhere that it might get broadcast on TV in Moldova, maybe it was somewhere on the show's site, I can't remember. If that is the case, videos likely won't appear until after it airs. And the show may hold the copyright to those videos as well, so Eva may not be allowed to post anything, we will have to keep an eye on the show's site.

Whilst reading through some stuff about The Best Voice I came upon this sentence ......The fact that the winner of the first place in «THE BEST VOICE» contest received certificates recording their songs in a professional studio in Chisinau.

Perhaps we might get a cd from Eva soon

So I have figured out your only 3 options are to try a different browser, move to Canada, or move to Moldova.

I was thinking about a move to Canada so I checked the weather for a place called Yellowknife and saw that currently it is -27c so that's out. Coldest it gets to here is 0c about once a year. Moldova is too poor, so I'm told. So then I tried Chrome and it worked. Thanks, Garth.

Someone asked Eva this question about her latest video on her ask.fm page:

Question: "And in your video really is your home and your real dad?"

Answer: "Yeah, Daddy moooy lyubimenky" (moooy lyubimensky doesn't translate for some reason)

I had suspected that might be her home and dad because I had seen a video or picture somewhere with her mom and dad and it looked like it could be him. Plus this picture of her sitting on the roof which I figured was where she lived matches the roof she climbed out of the window onto in the video:



Now the only question is, based on how skilfully she climbed out the window and down from the roof, was that video based on actual events?

I tried looking up "moooy lyubimenky" and a term came up "moya lubimaya" which in Russian means "my sweetheart" or "my angel". So I am guessing it is something along that line. AWWWWWW!!!
