Victoria is from Armenia but lives in Russia. She has won several talent competitions in her country including Don Wave and Vocal Ring, and she competed in Competition Blue Bird in 2015. She has a unique 5 octave voice and sings in 11 languages.

Victoria Hovhannisyan Empty Bluebird Talent Show

This is the latest video from last month of Victoria performing on the show. I don't know why that guy is blowing bubbles behind her. :?:



It looks like she got eliminated because they gave her a plaque and some flowers but then after that at the end, the judges all gave her a 10 score. One of the many times I wish I understood Russian! Scratching Head

That was the final of the Blue Bird competition. The winner was eleven year old Polina Chirkina and this is her final song although it looks like some sort of duet with the guitarist. Personally, I can't see how she beat Victoria. I must admit, though, Victoria has done that Fifth Element song to death but nobody sings it better.

Thanks, Bruce! I agree that Victoria is better vocally, but it seems in these competitions that special effects and other factors come into play. For example, that guitarist was pretty good as well as the smoke effects on the winner's performance. That shouldn't trump vocal talent, but human nature sometimes gets more impressed by those other variables when judges or audiences are voting.

I agree that Victoria has done the 5th Element to death, and she should haves sung Time To Say Goodbye in the final, I think the clocks and time effects would have given her a better chance to win. Instead, she sang it earlier in the competition:

It's under the Competition "Blue Bird" topic but it's actually from the 2015 season. I don't know if anyone else is watching the current season, but there are some interesting acts, especially from the past week's episode.
