I have followed Jackie now since her appearances on AGT, and went to two of her concerts. She has done more, seen more, and traveled more than I could keep up with. But this last performance on the AGT Christmas Special is my favorite. As Simon said, "It was a stunning performance".

I'm quite surprised nobody has mentioned that Jackie will be singing the national anthem at President-Elect Trump's inauguration on January 20th. Jackie has created a firestorm of criticism from the liberals. as a result, her album's sales have jumped tremendously. Jackie will discuss the backlash on CBS' Sunday Morning show. All Jackie fans should attempt to watch this very poised young lady defend herself. Check your guide for exact times in your area.

If you look back on page 5 you will see that I did mention it. I barely expressed an opinion. I think what Bruce and robin b said was right on! Regardless of your or my opinion--- Jackie is only doing the same thing for Trump as she did for Obama-------no harm in that! :D

I also commented on it, and I really don't like it when politics gets in the way of singing, etc. That happens in those big talent contests like Junior Eurovision as well, like when Alisa represented Russia around the time of the Ukraine invasion and a bunch of other countries gave her no points at all when she arguably had the best or one of the best performances.

However, this case does appear different to much of the public than the appearances where Obama was present. The Christmas Tree Lighting and National Prayer Breakfast were annual events that Obama attended. They were not events specifically related to Obama. In the case of an inauguration or election rally, the performers are generally perceived to be supporting that individual as it is "their" event (i.e. Trump's Inauguration is what this event is called. Those other events were not called Obama's Christmas Tree Lighting or Obama's National Prayer Breakfast, and were perceived to be non-partisan events).

That is why there is such a big division about this event, the perception is that anyone performing at it is pro-Trump, whether that is truly the case or not. Because perception, like possession, is 9/10 of the law. :pirat:

Sorry I didn't mention you Garth! I thought I was taking a chance on even responding to Max's comments. I do like your take on this! I will try to watch the interview on TV. Here is an article that is short and to the point. :D

That's interesting, Stephen. I wasn't even aware that forum existed. I never took that much interest after they disbanded the "official" forum. I had a quick look through a few threads and that was enough for me. Same old people with the same old ideas, sorry, not my idea of fun.

 Jackie First time performing Her Single " Writing on the Wall " live in concert in Midland,Texas earlier this month. Yes she has a beautiful voice.

The pictures are there, Stephen. There must be some issue with the computer settings or browser you are using. Open the forum in a different browser and see if they show up.

I can't see the pics either unless I copy the coding into this box, then preview it. BTW, I use Chrome.

I tried 3 browsers, Safari, Chrome and Firefox. Both pictures show up in Safari and Chrome, but only the first one shows up in Firefox. I guess it's another one of those Forumotion forum glitches again! :x
